Sunday’s 1st February we had a beautiful afternoon at the Motor Yacht Club of Tasmania, making tiny foods with fondant. Participants learnt a fondant skills including modelling, using tools and cutters to create a scene on their cupcake . We started we learning the skills to create a teddy face, cheese sandwiches and a plate of strawberries, then everyone creating their own designs before we piped our grass and completed the picnic. Today we enjoyed an afternoon with a view at the Motor Yacht Club of Tasmania, learning cookie decorating skills to create a Garden Cookie Box Participants learnt a fondant skills including modelling, using tools and cutters to create a scene on their cookies. We started we learning the skills to create a ladybug, butterflies and toadstools before moving on to creating our own scenes using those skills. Over November and December we enjoyed so many afternoons making Christmas cake, cupcakes and even cookie tree’s, and made the most of the festive buzz. We piped wreaths, sipped wine, made fondant Christmas tree’s and even had our first session with a full fondant cake cover. Everyone chatted and discussed their plans, talked about other cakes they’ve made and just enjoyed each others company. We had all ages join us, with some kids out doing the adults.
